Drama Alumni Gathering + other stuff

went to Nee Ann City's Seoul Garden for a Drama Gathering so we could meet up with out seniors (my sister's batch).

anyways, most of them are graduating from JC, pam's in NUS (or is it NTU?), Thulin transfered from NYJC to NYP after doing badly (for chinese) at the end of the 1st year, so hes gonna now take 4 years to graduate... krit's getting enlisted soon. He and Adelin told me about Drama as an A level subject and I don't think I want to take it anymore...

ok, so I found a Photography job online.. it involves taking pictures in hotels (13 of them, to be exact!), and it just so happened that those 13 were so far apart and highly inaccessible (no buses)

after working (in afternoon), I had dinner and movie with family and went to PX's house at about 1am... (so 25 Dec already)

we took this pic on the road outside her house (was about 2 am)

after drinking 2 n 1/4 shots of vodka (+orange juice) and a cup of red wine.... kian lam PUKED! TWICE!!!!! First time, he couldnt aim, and the puke went all over the toilet bowl. Second time round, he was conscious enough to puke into a plastic bag.

after playing card n watching movies, i went home at 7am, slept at 8am, woke up at 2.30pm... :)
I moved furniture and TVs up down and around my house... then went to East coast park with family, I skated, my sis (older) jogged, the rest biked.

at the base of a steep slope sat this rooster, which quickly moved its butt to the bushes on seeing me speeding towards it.

the Changi Park Connector was open! I skated from the ECP to Changi Airport ('s runway/ control tower)

we had dinner at ECP's Food Centre then went home to open presents! (at midnight 26 Dec)

Bishan to Yishun

after not skating since before the Os, I decided to try a distance skate from my house to North Point.

This journey of 9.9km took about 50mins...

this is the expressway after the end of YCK, apparently after some road works, someone forgot to paint in the zebra crossing, so i had to wait for a long time (look at the never-ending car flow)

the road was extremely narrow!

ok, so by some stroke of (bad) luck, taking public transportation (at peak hr) is slower than skating (anytime)!

My Holiday @ Phuket

i know i was supposed to update everyday, but internet @ phuket was not free as i thought. Far from it, it cost a whopping $15 for half an hour. Anyway, heres the trip report!
Day 1

checking for my jetstar flight

breakfast at the airport canteen...

waiting to board the gate at the airport~ 6.30am and the sun is still not up on our plane.

theres quite alot of legroom

my sis and i. the plush leather seats are really comfy!

this small craft was quite full... 144/188 pax

after landing: a huge 747 beside us at Phuket airport! (it was the only other plane there)

after that, we went to the (only) shopping mall at patong beach.

starving, we went to the food court which was a huge ripoff and the food tasted horrible... then i realised that the food court was meant for tourist only, hence the price and taste

we took a tuk-tuk back to the hotel after some window shopping

back at the hotel, i played (tried to anw)tennis with my sis til evening, but its alot harder then it looks and we spent half the time picking balls..

i had dinner at the hotel restaurant...

at $18 for that plate of fried rice (even though it was pretty good), its damm damm ex!

Day 2

i went sailing with my dad...

went to a mall at Phuket Town (45 mins away) in the evening...

had dinner at some western restaurant (meant for locals) so price was really cheap, think <$4 for a rib eye steak!

Day 3

Waiting for the speed boat at Phuket Pier! We're going to Phi Phi Island and Khao Island.

We sat up front! The ride felt like an hour long roller coaster, bouncing up and down with long drops and hang times... in 15 mins, only 6 were left

we returned to the hotel in the evening. the view from my room..

buffet dinner at the hotel... pirate theme, very nice atmosphere

a whole pig was there!

Day 4
I played mini golf, archery (really difficult!) and table tennis in the morning. ( no pics) and went to the mall in late afternoon.


we went to catch a movie, I AM LEGEND. (great show~) but point is, LOOK AT THOSE SEATS!!! extremely comfortable and it reclines! (the popcorn on the floor were spilled by my sister)

we bought dunkin doughnuts again to bring back to SG

we went back to the hotel to get our luggage and stuff and i took a last shot of the beach...

on the way to the airport, a failed attempt at capturing the beautiful night sky...

I later realised that our flight will be operated by Valuair instead of Jetstar...

There is significantly more legroom in Valuair's planes but the seats were not plush, but were instead hardbacked and uncomfortable..

this was pretty much all i could see on this midnight flight...

Alas! We've arrived back in SINGAPORE!

i watched a jap 'art'/lit film...



^^ its about teenage school bullying and how it has turned good-natured kids into black-hearted gangsters. its full of symbolism, runs parallel stories and has a 2-3-1-2 sequence... pretty good, provided u understand the meaning behind it.



^^ i watched this (another jap art) show (aoi kuruma) at lihao's house. its VERY abstract and of the 7 of us, only me a junwei stayed up to watch it, the rest fell asleep within 1/2 hr of the movie... its deceptively slow but not a bad show, again only if you understand it...

I will be going to Phuket from 14th-17th (or 18th at midnight) December. I think i will bring my laptop along, so you can expect daily updates~ :)

went to YFC for an interview (was sucessfull, got a call on 8/12), the pictures r small n blurred cos my phone changed its resolution to low without my knowledge.

this place is REALLY REALLY inaccessible!~ the bus (SBS no. 103W) runs once every 45 mins to an hour. I ran with a fellow interviewee/a new friend like shit only to miss it.... thankfully we didnt have to wait another hour, cos along came a delivery lorry that was kind enough to to allow us to hitch a ride to civilization.



apparently, Jason Seng (4/3) also applied and by sheer chance he got the same interview time as me...

went to venture Era with yihui, leo and mk for a job prospectus talk (aka 100% pure bullshit), then met up with rach, px, kian lam, weiliang to visit erin at work and have dinner...



free starbucks drinks from 5pm -7pm, i got a simple latte

i went to work at imgram micro @ changi north as a 're-packer'..



its next to the airport's maintainece facility, and there was an NWA 747 on serivce!!!!

Step3: once 20 are done, repack them in a box as such.
