08S25 - those that came anyway...

The news of 0 A1s for Chem and 3 failures for English got to us and the mood got solemn...
It was a huge relieve to see my name on the powerpoint slide~ I got 9! :)

9 made the decision difficult, My results could have gotten me to AC or SA, and I really like JC life... BUT the DET poly course was just so attractive. On Monday morning, I put SAJC-Science as 1st choice (others arent important) but later at 3.59pm, I made an amendment - 1st choice DET-NYP. The die is cast, whether it was a wise choice to choose an 18 pts COP course or a simply stupid one, I'll have to get back to you 3 years from now.

Ms Zhou was absent today, so we had to entertain ourselves in Lit class. Oliver; our professional magician showed us 5 david blane-like tricks. Unfortunately, only 2 can be posted for fear of disciplinary actions that might be taken against him/us.

i left the house at 6.15am and took 162 and 55 to East Coast today... [Note to self: 55 is much faster then 13], despite the bus breaking down, i still got there at 7.30am and walked around aimlessly for a gd 1/2 hr.

The Weekend Catchup

Ok, its been a week since i updated, so as you'd imagine theres a huge backlog of posts...

i was bored and decided the skate to SAJC...

i had to walk down that in my skates... its probably the most time consuming segment

Conclusion: It takes 1+ hours by bus but only 20 minutes to skate to SAJC. But unless I want to fall asleep during lessons, I'm probably not gonna try this menthod to get to school anytime soon.

I had to work after school again...

While making my rounds, I saw a bunch of computers and servers lying around... some of em are not that old (P4), but they were all wet 'cause it just rained

i went back to AMKSS to sit in during drama practice and to taste again our canteen food (there appeared to be a price hike but i didnt bother probing)

don't ask me why, but there is a toilet bowl visible to a HDB block full of peering eyes as well as some sinks... (all locked up btw)

I saw weng and his brother outside Marriot while working, then I went to NYP's open house to meet Huan Qing and Jolin and took the DET tour. Everyone there couldn't really answer any of my questions, so that only reinforces my reservations about the 18 point cut-off DET course...

I pretty much slacked the whole day, wanted to go for a run/skate, but it rained so that didn't happen. So here I am typing this now while wondering whether there is any homework to be done since I can't seem to recall any.

Ok went to the Countdown @ Marina Bay after work (i walked/ran 8km again...) and since the public transport system ground to a screeching halt, i had to walk even more from City Hall MRT to the Sails (near Marina Bay MRT)!

Mediacorp hired fake partiers to scream "5,4,3,2,1 Happy New year!" to record for the news. they did it 6 or 7 times (from 9pm onwards), so the 'live' countdown and cheering was actually recorded cos they only had 1 cam, and that cam was filming the fireworks!
