Chain tagging time-wasting questions

OKAY. I got tagged.
By WEILIANG
It's the same 20Qns thing so I shall do!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Instructions : Remove one question from above and add in your personal question. Make a total of 20 questions and tag 8 people. List them out at the end of the post.

1)At what age do you wish to get married?

Ideally late twenties

2)Who is more important to you? Friends or girlfriend?

Friends.

3)Who is the person you trust most?

Nobody. (okay maybe, yihui)

4)Do you think you have enough confidence?

Mostly

5)If you can have a dream to come true, what would it be?

To fly a plane (but I know I cant as I am 'vertically challenged', sort of) Or maybe to spontaneously grow taller so the former can come true.

6)Do you believe in seeing a rainbow after the rain?

Not in Singapore?

7)What is your goal for this year?

To get a 3.8< for GPA (which is an impossible 95%!!!!!)

8)Do you believe in eternal love?

I hope to.

9)What feeling do you love most?

Err... numbness? LOL...

10) Name 2 songs you listened & never got tired of it.

There aren't.

11)What do you do when you are bored.

Watch cable. Always.

12)List out 5 best friends of yours.

Space, Rachel, Tommy, Peixuan, Weiliang (basically FC, yea?)

13)Do you cherish every single friendship of yours?

Yeah

14)What do you think is the most important thing in your life?

Everything

15)Who cares for you the most?

My family

16)Describe the person who tagged you in 5 words.

Noisy, annoying, playful, gossipy (VERY!), lovable

17)What have you done to please yourself?

I haven't.

18)IF time were to rewind, when will you want it to be?

Lower sec? Or maybe when I was a kid, like 5 yrs old or something. Carefree simple life.

19)Do you love yourself?

What kinda question is that?

20) Are you happy with your life
?
Sort of. I'm glad I had the guts to try for something that everyone said was 'wasting my life away' instead of taking the easy route. Unfortunately, this course is starting to shed its true colors and I'm getting worried that part of what everyone said might be coming true. But thankfully, I have great friends to help me ride it out.

Nobody to tag? There isn't anyone I know who blogs that hasn't already been tagged. So I guess the chain ends here.

New phone+school projects+totally random fact

Okay... so I haven't updated regularly in the past couple of days, BUT its not that i didn't want to, but because I had tons of PROJECTS and ASSIGNMENTS(plus a TEST) to study for.(i've been sleeping at unearthly hours and waking up for school 3-4hours after) And for all you jay see people who do not know, in poly, deadlines are DEAD lines; failing to meet them is failing altogether. And being late for ONE SECOND is considered non-attendance aka being ABSENT! Oh and be thankful that you even have teachers who are at least remotely more interested in teaching then scolding purely for the sake of it! (hates QUAHPY!)
Alright, enough ranting for now... on to the real stuff.

1. Web D Project:
I got it before the holidays, but me being me, I had to leave it to the very last minute to start work. Last minute means needing to hand it in today by 6pm and yet choosing to start only at 10am in the midst one of my other lessons. Even then, I didn't really do much, until 4pm when the intensive photoshopping and css code typing began. I remembered one of my irritating classmates (who had long finished his work) announcing '5 minutes to go'. At 6.01pm, I was pretty much done, all looked great and I was almost about the submit when I realised that one of my links refused to work. I spent a frantic half hour trying to debug (it was a REALLY STUPIDLY SIMPLE ERROR). I threw my website into the submission folder only at 6.25pm, a whole half hour after the deadline. Coding in notepad can be annoying at times, but one key advantage must be that, it cant and will never hang on you.
I sometimes amaze myself with what I can do in a short period of time under pressure.
http://rey.chire.org/gallery/
(Give it awhile to load. I only like the homepage and gallery page, the others are crap to fulfill the project criteria. The website is the one I submitted as is, so all the errors and mis-alignments are as the marker would see it.)

2. Test results
:
I got my test results today (for the pre-holiday tests).
Photobucket
I was pretty dissapointed at the 62% for Maths, but on closer inspection, there were some MAJOR miscalculations! I'm talking at whole TWENTY MARKS! Maths teachers' maths ain't all that good.
Got 76% for C++ test, not too bad, i thought. (I got slaughtered in the MCQ section and minus 2% for 'presentability' in OE)
But after trying to count my GPA, i realized how far off I was from my target!
Each module is worth 4 credits and I need a minimum grade point average of 3.5/4 to get into uni and a GPA of 3.8/4 to get better placements and scholarship stuffs.
76%/25=>3.04/4
82%/25=>3.28/4
Quite far away from the 3.5 and 3.8 i need, huh?
Then upon further calculations, I realised that to get those GPA, i would need to get 87.5% (for 3.5) or an impossible 95% (for 3.8)!!!! NINETY FIVE PERCENT! I can't even get that in primary school! How can I ever in poly?! ARGH!

3.New phone: HTC Touch Diamond!
I saw the ad on the newspaper, HTC Diamond going for a mere $498 on Starhub any contract! I went down with my parents to AMKHub to get the phone, but once there was told that the price was $600 and that there would be no stock (for a LONG time). On closer inspection, we realised that the offer price and first batch of the phone were ONLY for the starhub roadshow at suntec! So we went there after sending my dad off at the airport. And the first thing we saw was the LONG ASS LINE that SNAKED AROUND the suntec atrium (we walked a round to find the start of the amazing queue). My mom queued, while I went to ask what we were queuing for. When the staff said, "Oh, the queue is to get a queue number." Queuing to get a Queue Number?! That makes almost no sense! Anyway, I started queuing from 4pm and got my queue number at 6.45pm! (they sure are SLOW at GIVING OUT queue numbers!) To make it up to the tired and frustrated queuers, Starhub gave out free ice creams, popcorns and drinks. A nice touch, considering my legs were jelly and I was dead beat.
Then I thought after getting a number, it should only be 5 or 10 mins before I get called, but NO! I asked the staff for an estimated and he said "Erm... wait let me check... about one or two hours... plus?" Jaws dropped.
Thankfully, I didn't have to stand in line any longer. They said they would SMS me 5 positions before my turn to go back, so I was free to roam around Suntec. Alone. (my mom went to my Grandparent's place)
Well, his estimate was, abit off? I was back at the road show after a quick dinner and walking it off around the huge suntec city, about 2 hours later, worried that they 'forgot' to send to SMS. Only to realise upon reaching that my queue number was a long ass time away from being called! So I just sat the floor in an empty corner and waited. I got so bored that I played the bicycle game on my handphone (the HTC Touch which has NO number pads?) It was tough, but it killed time and tested my patience.
Photobucket
free ice-cream
Photobucket
free BRANDED mineral water (there was also free popcorn)
Photobucket
there were people still queuing AFTER I got the phone, if I waited from 4pm-9.45pm and these people start queuing at 9.30pm, erm... what time will they get their stuff?!

AND FINALLY,

The HTC Touch Diamond (http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_touch_diamond-2368.php)

4. Totally Random Fact:

Today, my younger sister asked me what was the highest and lowest valued currency against the Sing dollar. Apparently, she needed it cos they were studying Currency Fluctuations in Social Studies. (wow at P6? What are they teaching kids these days?)
My immediate response was British Pound and Indonesian Rupia. She immediately said WRONG! Her teacher had specifically said that there 2 currencies were not the correct answers.
Determined to find out a poorer currency then Indo and a richer one then the GBP, I did some searching and found out that:
SGD1 =ZWD7,764,416,292.77
The Zimbabwe Dollars was imbah-ly weak! (If u have a $2 bill in ur wallet now, you'd have over $14 billion dollars in their currency!) Imagine paying $28billion dollar for that macdonalds happy meal!
BHD1=SGD
3.65
It had to happen some day. The British pound is no longer the highest valued currency! Far from it, its now only 2.7 to the sing dollar, a far cry from the 3.65 of the Bahrian Dollar!

Ok this was a REALLY REALLY Long post, so I shan't type any futher.

My Sister's Birthday + Random stuff

My sister's birthday
We went to this Disney Restaurant for dinner. It came highly recommended by my aunt, but we were in for a bit of a surprise. We were under the impression that that restaurant was big and at least of Sizzler's class of dinnning. But it turned out to be some tiny fast food-ish place that overcharges (a LOT), that has a Disney logo, and serves Mickey-shaped pizzas.

Dim Sum Buffet + ECP

After several postponements, we finally went for the mouth watering Dim Sum Buffet. I chose the River City Restaurant at Peninsula Excelsior Hotel since I clearly remembered my supervisor treating me to lunch on my last day of work at the National Heritage Board and it tasted pretty darn good. (Sec 3 June 1st Job)
Despite PX's very early planning (2 weeks advance notice!), not all of FC was able to make it. (specifically Rachel being noticeably absent)
The day out included cycling (or skating for me) at ECP after lunch to work off the heavy meal.

We climbed up to the roof trying to take a group shot using a stand (this was a failed test shot), but never got to it because...
THE POLICE CAME!!!! And we all ran down stairs... Apparently they thought we were illegal immigrants seeking refuge (thankfully they didnt think we were committing suicide or anything like that) They asked a shit load of questions and collected everyone's IC...
Police 1: Edwin Poon?
Police 1: What is your address?
Edwin: Yishun street... erm... erm... I forgot.
*everyone laughs*
Police 2: Huh! How long have you been living there, got more then ten years anot?
Edwin: Erm...(starts counting in his head) I'm not sure leh... since... err...
*everyone laughs some more!*
Police 1: How can you not know your address?! You better think! If not I can say this is not you, and take you back for questioning!

After about half an hour of checking our ICs and asking everyone questions, Police 2 (more senior one) ended the interrogation on a very authoritarian note. Dictating that we were lucky to be 'let off' and that if he wanted, he had enough evidence to hold all of us and call Eric's mom (the 'offical owner' of the place) down to the station for verification. (Really reminds me of Quah Poh Yong!)
