Revival!
Hello world! (Again) It’s been 5 whole months since I last posted on my blog, during which I have wanted, time and again, to revive my blog, but to no avail; largely due to the never ending pile of school work I had (or have, since I still do), but of course I wont discount my laziness as a contributing factor. Heh… During these 5 months, I’ve been posting my photos onto facebook as an interm solution (thats looking more and more permanent, unfortunately), so I wont re-post them here. Well, lets see quick update about my life right now…
First and foremost, I now must report to school EVERYDAY (weekday I mean) from 9am to 6pm for my Final Year Project – no exceptions. You can imagine the look on my face when on the very last week of school, I was told that my March holidays would last a whooping THREE WHOLE DAYS! (I really wanted my 6 week break! Especially since the last few weeks of year 2 were so stressful and tiring. But in retrospect, it might not be all that bad, at least I still have my Sept & Dec holidays intact. Backpacking trip, anyone?) So as of the 8th of March, I officially became a Year 3 student – The worst (Yr1&2) is finally over!
On another note, my fitness level has dropped tremendously ever since I left my CCA in December and to make matters worse, the now CLOSED (for renovations/ ‘upgrading’) Bishan Park means I can’t train in my usual running grounds anymore. I’ve also not continued my ‘one race a month’ routine that I started last year. I did not sign up for any races in Jan & Feb and in the North East Run 16Km that I took part in two weeks ago I didn’t do as well as I had hoped for (1:31:46), but oh well…
Okay, this (originally short) post has become quite lengthy so I shall refrain from ranting any further for now…

Anyway, I’ll try to update my blog regularly, so do check back often. Commenting on my posts helps motivate me to blog more since its the only way I’ll know that someone actually reads my blog, so comment away!

Well good luck for the next month, when do your holidays start? Oh and for how long? Like when does the next school year start for you? 16 Aug? Theres a chance I MIGHT be having holidays around that time thanks to my unique 3rd Year Schedule… I’m also likely to get a week or 2 off towards the end of May.
Holidays start in May/end April (assessment around April 20ish), school starts first Monday of August. Let me know if we can go somewhere!
Year end’s good too. I get a month off in Dec.
Dang…. why so early… I thought it was mid august. Hmm… maybe May then, see how my attachment thingy goes…. Or if not can you afford the attendance (or rather, the lack of it) for say 5 days in sept/oct? lol
I have two weeks off in december, but thats probably just not a great to travel yea?
Noo I probably can’t afford to miss out on attendance. (My attendance for Feb was 79% btw and it’s probably gonna be 60-odd% for March; I’m getting really demoralised and unmotivated to do work these days but I’ll try to make it pass assessment. Just 2 freakin’ more weeks to go! I hope I can hold.)
Sooo December’s probably better. I’m thinking of Vietnam. Have you ever been there? Would be nice of course if we can go out of Asia but $$$$ right.

In any case August will be the start of the new year right? So you’ll start with a clean sheet right? :grins:

And OMG! Who are you and what have to done to the real Rachel? Vietnam?! This is so unlike you! But yes, I’ve been there, its quite nice & we could do an Indochina region thing like Vietnam, Cambodia & Thailand or something IDK. Was thinking of Taiwan in early August though (if not hows Sept/Oct?)
HAHAHA heyyyyyyy I had plans to do voluntary work in less developed countries okay! If we’re going to many many places, I think December would be better. I have a week-long “break” (project week) in September though. Really don’t want to skip school to travel! Taiwan sounds good but I’m not sure about Cambodia. It is FREAKING HOT there, much worse than in SG!
What about New Zealand? What do they have besides a lot of lambs/sheep and some volcanoes? I believe it’s a rather scenic country.
60-odd% is really rather amazing. I have yet to get the letter about poor attendance in March so I’m not sure about the exact figure, but I was really not keen on school.. After gulping down your bottle of freshly squeezed Motivation, though, I am more ready to conquer EOY assessment. Hahah thanks!
Regarding AMKSS photog trip thing, we’ll wait till Grace gets her camera or something. Hopefully that’s before your US trip!

The week-long break might be workable, when exactly is it? New Zealand would be really nice, unfortunately so would its air ticket prices! So unless theres some insane air fare sale, (hmm… there might be, though definitely not for Dec), I doubt our wallets can afford it… Taiwan is a compromise I guess… not too far & not too expensive. If not theres Korea (they FINALLY have budget airlines!), but I havent worked out the costs yet though… Worst Case Scenario: Malaysia? Or we could just make weekend trips to M’sia anyway like any time we want…. its cheap! lol

I don’t really blog right now haha. I’m enlisting on April 12 and it’s c9l2! I’m exempted from IPPT and my Bmt is 7 weeks! Kinda shiok as I would have been given 19 weeks given my napfa results :l I can imagine after your 3 days of hols, your blog will be dead again! And yeah, hopefully there’ll be a chance for us to meet up soon haha

(((( I’ve been MOPPING my house hello, and I do the laundry as well! Today I even washed the fan!, but honestly speaking, if you told me 5 years ago that someday I’ll be doing the chores at home, I’d laugh.
I won’t know when exactly my project week is till year 3 starts, but it’s likely to be from 20th Sep (Monday, 18th if I count the weekends prior) to 26th. Korea’s ok too, but accommodation won’t be cheap right? M’sia’s good too, we could go any time as you said.

Korea’s accommodations are reasonable (hot-spring type) and 18 Sept sounds okay… lol. But anyway, want to go M’sia sometime within the next few weekends? Or even next weekend? You know your way around?
