Sat 23/2
I met up with yihui and Clarissa for distance skating today. We caught up with each other on the long bus ride to east coast park…

After skating down the ‘garden hill’, we got offered a packet of free milo by a couple from milo in exchange for a photo for their ad pitch.

First checkpoint, south of Changi

Clarissa thought that was the merlion! Over-exertion?

the canal separating mainland singapore and reclaimed-land singapore

A dried up frog with its tongue out! Dedicated to the frog px squashed (find it in my archive)

the never-ending road spanning the breath of Singapore!

2nd Checkpoint halfway down the never-ending road…

In the heavily forested greens, there appeared this box a empty grassland and a few stick trees

The A380 is the far distance!

the 380 leveling out!

Finally, we see the road to the Airshow!

reclaimed land..

stunt planes in formation

giant ads leading to the airshow… (thats a russian jet btw…)

I never knew singapore had such an empty and tranquil place (minus the noise from traffic for the airshow)

the 380 poster..

the airshow in sight! (Finally!)

well, with no ticket, we’re just at the airshow to see cars…

After popping by the security tent, we got a FREE 100PLUS!!! The caterer was so nice, he even offered us muffins! (which we declined of course) So after our 2nd free drink of the day, we headed off to our final destination – Changi Village

an eva 330 departing from the airport

a jett8 plane preparing to land… (its a Singapore Airline btw…)

Changi Beach Park is heavily forested with temperate trees, which made the park look very foreign and Un-Singaporean if you will..

see what i mean.. (ok its a bad shot) but it really looked and felt like s
omething out of the story books!

A miracle maple stick plant emerges from the dead.. Can u feel its amazing aura!

and we see civilization!

Changi Jetty..

we’re at like the north eastern tip of SG!

ferry pulling in from Pulau Ubin
After reaching our finish line, we ate at Changi Village Hawker Centre, where I queued for OVER AN HOUR, for nasi lemak! DO you have ANY IDEA how painful it was to stand for 1 hr after skating for 4! The queue wasn’t exactly long, its just that everyone was ordering upwards of 20packets! (im serious) The smallest order was 15 packets… The only reason the queue was moving was because ppl infront of me were dropping out! DAMM! It didn’t even taste that good, standards have dropped (significantly) since i last ate it 2 years ago..
ANW, after that, clarissa left for church and yihui and I took a bus to east coast park (again…) to meet for peiyi’s birthday!

tagging

from the back

one straight line!

annie!
Later, before we left, some guy came up and introduced himself as Nick and talked to me and yihui about skating and all..

on the bus to peiyi’s house

Junwei and Yihui performing the forfeit for being the blur kings…
okay, so it was a VERY LONG AND TIRING day… and I slept at 2am and looked forward (yeah right) to go to work tmr morning… SIAN

the abrasion on both of by legs thanks to junwei’s horrid cycling skills and my decision to tag on to his bike!

OK so on the morning skate with yihui and Clarissa, we skated 24.24km… (i haven’t added the afternoon distance) :O
PX n Carline, waiting for the dishes to be served.
We all went nuts eating nuts during the long wait (okay, it wasn’t that long, we were just hungry)
Some fried prawn thing (NICE!)
Cha Siew Soh
Century Egg Porridge (Pei Dan Chok)
Char Siew Bao
猪肠粉
WL who came really late and who was very over-dressed, stuffing an entire Bao into his mouth with ease.
Everyone
The girls
Tommy and his korean friend – Tommy is a bad host!
Desert – gui ling gao (the other option was mango pudding)
KL who only came AFTER we finished lunch – his expression after realizing the gift we got him was ’special’ *ahem*
PJ n WL leaving in style (or rather lacking it – they tried jay-running across the road and failed miserably)
Tommy’s very bored (and probably still hungry) Korean friend. (I don’t remember his name)
Waiting (not sure for what..)
KL
Carline n PX – We were waiting for bus 36 at Raffles Hotel
Tommy n (insert name here)
I took this on the bus (I’m not sure why, but I like it a lot)
Tommy drinking KOI (at Marine Parade Estate)
It sells great tasting bubble tea and ridiculously high prices at all the wrong places. (I mean, have you seen Starbucks under a HDB flat, smacked in between a 99cents shop and a mini mart?)
and $6 just flew away…
Drinking…
KL wanted to be in the picture… so yeah
Showing off his plaster…
Walking into ECP
There were people on the Ski 360 thing…
Tommy trying to call
Stopping at Bedok Jetty for a short break.
Doesn’t this look like some advertisement trying to sell jewelery?
Oh wait no. It an Ad for Polar Mineral Water.
Yup. Refreshing~
You’ll look grumpy without Polar Mineral Water.

Lionair’s 737-900ER
Shadow Lite
And heres another Polar Mineral Water Ad. The refreshing choice~
We were next to the runway (now, if only the trees weren’t planted and the fences would just fall off, I’d have a good shot)
The track being parallel to the runway, was impossibly straight and seemingly endless.
Our 3 hours were almost up and half way back… DISASTER – PX n KL fell (as correctly predicted and expected)
Garuda
Back up on their feet
Phone
We were heading back, so were the hundreds of sail boats…
